Charlie Sheen as Charlie Harper, a eccentric bachelor whose early life with his family and Alan's family was recalled. Charlie wears smooth Armani suits, dates beautiful women, drives a Ferrari and spends his nights at work composing jingles for a well known advertising agency. But if you think Charlie has it easy, meet Alan Harper (Jon Cryer), Charlie's brother who is recently divorced after ten years of marriage and now lives over his garage. With no where to go and only child support to live on, Alan brings along Jake, who soon after moves in with his dad to help raise him and enjoy the Malibu lifestyle. As the brothers bond and reconnect, they also struggle with their teenage nephew's everyday life at home, school and girls.

Sheen replaced Michael J. Fox as the series lead after Fox was struck with Parkinson's disease. His character, Charlie Harper (formerly Marcus Rich), is a well-to-do bachelor with a house at the beach and an easy way with women. After introducing himself to his new neighbors (the titles of each episode are a play on the theme of introduction, "Nice to Meet You", "The Last Thing You Want is to Wind Up with a Hump", "A Big Bag of Dog" and "My Doctor Has a Cow Puppet"), he discovers that his married brother Alan has been living on the couch for six months since Judith kicked him out for cheating on her with one of her best friends, Tammy. Alan stays with his brother because he can't afford his own place and his lack of motivation annoys Charlie, who would prefer quiet time alone after spending time with his girlfriend Rose.

The sitcom Two and a Half Men follows the lives of two unattached men in their thirties, Alan Harper (Jon Cryer), who is eating lunch with his younger brother, Charlie (Charlie Sheen). He also begins to regularly visits a friend (Angus T. Jones) while they both live under the same roof half-brother. After time, he moves in with his young son (Judy Greer) and ex-wife, raising both kids and starting a new life in which he confronts many challenges including heartbreak, romance and friendship.
